The food was great and abundant! Large portions for a great price. I like that the huevos rancheros plate automatically comes with some chunky meat doused in your chile of choice, in my case Christmas. Both red and green were flavorful and saucy, and the dry roasted flavor of the red really came through. I also loved the salsa that came with the free chips delivered before the meal and even got some extra to go. It is a small, slightly cramped, simple no-frills diner vibe, but you know it's good when the city officials trucks are there for lunch, as well as the construction crews in their high-vis. It was bustling, but not too loud considering. Service was prompt and very helpful. I'm excited for the leftovers for lunch today.

Great place to stop when in town. We were passing thru and hungry. The tamales, salsa and chips, tacos, and fish dinners were delicious. Good prices. Enjoyed every bite. Place is old but loved in, happy waitresses, nice atmosphere, a lot of locals. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

really great... loved the salsa... closest thing to my aunt pat's enchiladas I've ever had... I had the combo plate and ate it all... my son had the guisado, which is what my family would all call chili colorado... it was great, too... good service and good prices...

Excellent service, very attentive and helpful. I ordered the Tonys dish, which was delicious and very well served. The chile relleno was delicious and the sauce was very good. They served us quickly and we didn't have to wait long.

Truly enjoyed this little gem! We're from Dallas and stayed a few days in NM. We were on our way to the Hot Springs, and me being wifey, was craving some good Mexican food. Their salsa is definitely in my top 5 faves EVER!! I told our waitress I wish I could take a jar on the road to Dallas. My carne asada tacos were phenomenal. Even our refried beans had flavor!! It's a small little restaurant, but well worth the crowd. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving some good flavors.
